Be a DIY Digital Marketer
One of the biggest advantages that a Digital Marketer can have is the ability to execute their own projects from A to Z. This means building everything starting from the idea up to the finish product like a landing page linked to a promo campaign.
Now, I know that it’s near impossible to be able to do everything. That’s why we have graphic designers and web developers. But if you can do it, don’t get someone else to do it for you. The more you can do, the more $$$ when it comes to your yearly performance review. Your colleagues will also appreciate the effort of making their job easier.

Partnering Up with your Niche’s Influencers
An important aspect of an online store is its reputation, and a good way to gain people’s trust is to have influencers talk about you. In a positive way, of course.
Finding influencers with a big following is the easy part. To build a solid partnership with them you’ll need to bring your people’s skills and get them on board with your brand. The more influencers you can get to back up your product or services the better. You’ll not only be able to reach a bigger audience with their followers, but you’ll also improve your overall branding and you’ll probably get some links to your site!
Does a Digital Marketer Need All of This?
No, absolutely not. Digital Marketing teams usually have people with different strength, some stronger to build brand awareness, some better at doing SEO, etc… Having a diverse team is probably the best way to keep your marketing evolving at a steady rate. That’s why the last and most important skill that I think a digital marketer should have is all around knowledge of the business.
What skill sets that a Digital Marketer should have that I didn’t mention above?
